I believe it will work on all of the E(x)e heads but wouldn't mess with the E heads containing the pressed in lexan windows. Again, with the possible exception of the E2d head with the domed window, I also believe the thick pyrex window will need replacement.

Don,

You would not mess with these because of the Lexan, or some other attribute of these heads? I'm having one of these modded to take an E-Can and a custom sink, and am wondering whether an E screw wouldn't be a better approach. That Porsche head sure looks a lot like an E1 head...

There are two reasons, I personally won't mess with the E(x) head. One is the dang pocket clip and its hole. The other is the permenance of the lexan window and the hassle of modifying the front end for a glass window with bezel ring or O-ring retainer, if need be. I can't charge for the hours it takes on some of these mods and I can't afford to place the time there without compensation. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that you want somebody to build you an Aleph head, not really "mod" your stock head. Right? If true, then you just need to boogie over to Don's sale thread and choose what sort of head you want. Add a tail switch, and you're off to the races.

I'd be happy to build you one as well, but Don should have first stab at it.

(edit: I see Don responded first.... eventually we'll figure out what you're after!)

PK already has the best. However as a true flashaholic, not to mention major weenie, he does like to collect "different" as well as other examples of illumination tools. He probably has one of the most comprehensive collections going, not to mention SF proto's that would cause a rock to drool! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif In the case of the black McLux head I showed above, he stated that he wanted it "unique" and different. He wanted it "signed" because I was giving him grief that I wanted his signature on some items. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Lest there be any confusion here, we ultimately don't take each other too seriously!
