i am soon to be building a battery pack for my mag-mod ....

But,

1. i am in singapore, no credit card to purchase a readily one ...

2. need to setup a 10 X AA minh pack But is the norm one with the 'nipple' at the positive end, to be fitted in a 3 D Maglite

3. need to withstand high temp as used in the mod....

4. need to charge as a "whole" pack and also to be taken out 'easily' for cycle charges.

welcome any ideas,

Well as solution is not always easy and simple ......

Get yourself some good high capacity 2500mAh AA's the CPB cells are great, for a mag you can just solder them together with a wire gap I,m not sure how easily you'll fit 10 in the mag itself, 9 will fit very well, Just make sure you either have those magnetic leads for a charger or some type of blug recessed into the + and - contacts.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

the battery setup and the charging to be is killing me .....

for now, i think i will stick to the black/white battery holders and mod from there, hope it will not melt in the maglite .......

else, shall goto a local battery shop and pay high price to let them asssemble my readily batteries in a pack ..... hmmm, shall go ask the pricing in the next few days when i head to town

If your going to use that get some heavy guage wire like 14 guage and strip the insulation cut them short and just connect the heads of the springs the are normally connected together to lower resistance so they don't melt.

i read abt soldering a battery pack, all i seen is no no ......
spot weld is the prefer method ....
- can u give me advice on how to solder the batteries, using normal solder 60/40, or silver content solder?
- shld i get solder tabs if i am doing it ...???
