I am trying to find a torch light which can hold 4 AA batts (or Surge design: 8 AA with 4 and 4 in parallel) for 6 volts, a alu reflector, and a bulb base for holding a halogen 2 pin bulb. Something like the PT TEC 40 but the TEC 40 has a plastic reflector. I am trying to drop a 6 volts 10 watts halogen bulb in there....

Or are there any lights with 12 volts design? 12 volts 10 watts will do too...

Double Barrel 4AA. 4AAs in parallel but eaily rewired.

Double Barrel 8AA. 4AAs in parallel.

The double barrel has a plastic reflector. And on mine, it is a pain in the BUTT to remove without shattering (I may do that anyway since I have a spare if need be). If you are doing halogen, consider 12 rechargables (sure, it is overvolting a lot...who cares ;-) ), they will probably last longer than alkalines before the alks start getting pretty yellow, plus it'll be brighter if you are overvolting it. Though, it is hard to find a 12AA flashlight....

I find that the bulbs by osram look rather yellow when compared to the PT Tec 40. And because of that, even a 10 watt 6 volt one, don't look as bright as the 4 watt 6 volt in the Tec 40.
