hi all! There must be forums on Fobs and Paracord Weaves but AFAIK we have some distinguished members on board too...I have to admit my innocence on the art, my inexperience and lack of interest of exploring it any further.

So my need is for a special key FOB. Its purpose is to function as a discreet thread/cord storage, something to supplement a pocket survival kit. Looks are unimportant...

So could someone point me to a pictorial how-to to the proper weave?
I will be using 1.5-2mm thick cord, and if possible I need the weave to be made with a single strand of cord. But storing as much cord in it is still the prime criteria. (obvisoulsy depending on the final FOB length)

Thanks beforehand...Kostas

Kostas, Google "cobra stitch". If you double up on the weave, you'll have a "king cobra", which can help you store a lot more cord.

well i did, and the best tutorial I got was from wildernesswiki...

and fount again stormdrane blog, though I dod not recall where I have seen it before..here or in another forum???

Anyway here is my last try

I kinda get mixed up on wwhat side to fold next...that will be fixed with prqactice...

after some time I started weaving crossing threads from one side only...that made the wave shown at the bottom half of the photo.

Now the center thread was a thin bungee cord, so when I pulled the fob twisted like a DNA spiral....
Unless noone has even daone It I am calling it the DNA weave!
