I bought a couple of lamps from Cabelas. When I received them I discovered they do not use a regular bulb. I was able to find that it is a candelabra bulb. But I don't know what model number. All I have is the base which has "ge-612" on it. It also says "12.5v 75w." Any ideas what bulb I need? Thanks

Can you double check the voltage, 125V or 12.5V. Big difference.

GE-612 is just the socket in the lamp. Not the light bulb. How bright do you need the bulb to be? Can you give us an incandescent wattage equivalent?
Candelabra bulbs are used for accent lighting and night lights so wattages are usually low, from 3 to 40.

Are you looking for a round one or one that looks like a candle flame?

Are you looking for a incandescent, CFL, or LED bulb?

Just go to the website of Home Depot, Lowes or other major hardware stores near you and search for "candelabra light bulb".
Here is the result at homedepot.com:

The Canadian website shows a better selection.

The candelabra E12 base is just a skinny version of the regular E26 medium screw base (so you cannot stick a 100W bulb in it and start a fire). Most hardware and lighting stores carry them.
If you scroll down almost to the bottom of this page there is a picture comparison of the normal E26 medium screw base and the candelabra E12 base.

12.5v...my bad.

The info I can find on Cabelas webpage says 60watts.

I searched several sites for candleabra bulbs. All the ones I could find were screw in type. The socket isn't. I posted the socket number hoping someone could tell me what type of bulb I needed.

The only info I can find is E12 which is a skinny screw.
The pictures also show that.

Is there any other info on the box that has a bulb type such as use B22 or GU10 or GU24?

Is that lamp made in a foreign country? German Japanese Australian British etc.

You may have to contact Cabelas and ask them what bulb to buy.

There is no other info on the box, or anywhere in the instructions with it. I don't know where it was made, looked can't find it. I emailed Cablea's two days ago and have yet to hear back from them.

The socket you posted a pic of isn't the one on the lamps. The ones on the lamps is not a screw in socket. I took a pic of it, but can't figure out how to upload the pic.

I have the same Cabela's lamps and am having the same problem finding bulbs...did you ever find the right ones??
