Why such a trivial post? My girlfriend is 3000 miles away spending Thanksgiving with her family, and even though I just had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with friends it just ain't the same.

Brightnorm, friends are good. Thanksgiving spent with family or loved ones is great. But, if I understand correctly, Thanksgiving began as a community affair. The tradition continues if it's spent with your neighbors and friends, or even someone needing a little company.

I'm sitting here alone basking in the warm glow of my CRT too. But I did spend an hour on the telphone today with family members from Alaska and California (and received some good news), and some church group brought a small Thanksgiving dinner (dead bird meat, stuffing, smashed potatoes, yams, peas, and a piece of pumpkin pie) this morning - I'll throw all but the pie in the microwave later on and enjoy my Thanksgiving dinner. And I have CPF to turn to - so I'm not *totally* alone.

To steer this thread back on topic... my CPF slogan is "Paypal on the Waypal!".

I think you're right, but for very personal reasons my girlfriend is the one I really want to be with today and as I mentioned to Ryan, it's "complicated". I'm not comfortable giving more detail.
