I am really excited that they are finally available. Though, I don't know which to get. Can someone help me out here?
1. What is the difference between Lux and Q3? What are they referring to? The light of course, but what do they mean?
2. What is Lux3-T and Lux3-S?
3. Does Wide Open mean it's not voltage regulated? What are the cons of this? That the brightness will drop off suddenly rather than have a steady brightness? The pro is that it'll be more bright for a while, right?
4. Do all sandwhiches fit in all Minimags?
5. What other accessories should I get? I want to get everything at once and don't want to keep having to go back. What would you guys recommend?
6. In the description for the Badboy 650ma it says that it runs really hot and a 2-stage switch would be recommended. Where would one get such a 2 stage switch and where does it install to? The tail of the flashlight?
7. I already have a minimag but want another one for modding so I can have two. Where is the cheapest place to get one?
Thanks. I hope I can order ASAP!

A Lux3 T has a Luxeon III LXHL-PW09 on it with a T ranked bin code. A Lux3 S is the same LED but a S ranked bin code. S is less bright that the T (Get the T!).
Wide open only refers to Madmax since some earlier models had a trim pot to adjust the output brightness. Trim pot models are no longer being built. Madmax is a voltage regulator, but, is run at max output power. It's semi-regulated output is quite flat when used with NiMH batteries or even acceptable with Alkaline and will run downto 0.8V which is dead-dead in anyones book for batteries.
All sandwiches fit a standard 2AA minimag, brinkmann 2AA, Firefly and CNC Dans Stoplight.
The Two stage switch only works on the firefly. You can get a two stage Kroll from gadget_lover. He modifies the Kroll to give you a two level switch for the 2AA flashlight.
7. Shop around. Target has them, Home depot sometimes has them on sale. Other store carry them and you can find them online. Don't know where the cheapest place is.
The stock lights have a plastic lens. Get a mineral glass and a Kroll if you want a tailcap switch or gadget_lovers version which is two stage.
