New features to be added to LIONHEART ?

Candle Power Forums

Help Support Candle Power:

Remote wireless interface with vital stats on battery life, approximate emitter output, diagnostics, and full remote control with a visual menuing system, with high-res OLED screen, all housed in a stylish environemtally-hardened magnesium case.

...Unless that's going to run me more than twenty-five bucks or so, in which case I'll settle for using the "secondary" interface from time to time.

Probably only minor adjustments are possible, meaning the processor in the LH may not know when the power is down to 75, 50, or 25% left.

One thing that may well be possible is a strobe mode. The LH already handles dimming via a very fast strobe, cutting down on the frequency and prolonging the off cycle should make for a nice strobe.

I plan on turning mine on at night and running from dim to really bright and smiling like a little boy with a new toy.

The end.

Hmmm...a thread all its own about programmable options. Sheesh, the LionHeart has its own new subcult developing here...and they ain't even been made yet! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy23.gif

Hey, Now that lots of LH's have been delivered have any of you thought up any neat little wizbang features to be programmed into the lion heart?

I'm interested to hear what folk like/dislike about the LH interface(s). But, the uController on the LH has 1k bytes of program space and currently 6 bytes are free... and it is coded in assembler.

Agreed!!! It's programmable features are already beyond my level of sophistication. Great job with that.

I would like momentary activation available in Interface 1... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

I think a variable-rate strobe would be pretty cool! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I like the nflex interface. Especially the low and high light setting from just holding the button when off.
Also wish the button was bigger. Hard to find by feel, and for some reason the button on my HA3 is harder to push than my bare one. My finger really gets sore from pushing so hard. The bare one is perfect. Still a great light. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree, I have to put the light on the lowest setting. Walking around with this on to use the momentary.

I'd like all the Interface 1 features availabe in Interface 0. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hahaha.gifCharlie

OK, seriously. Do you guys NOT like instant access to low from off? Would you mind losing all the level adjustments? Want to have to press the button ten times to change levels? With a single button interface, you just can't have it all, I'm afraid. What we DO have here is a feature set that is simple and *almost* complete. Personally, I'm pretty darn happy with how the interface turned out. I certainly would like to have momentary along with all the other Interface 1 features... I just can't figure out how to do it without losing some of those great features that I rely on. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

I find myself using interface 1 more than the primary interface.

I switch it on at level 1 or 2 and just go to momentary high whenever necessary.

...I still think 2 buttons would have been a better way to go /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin07.gif
