Very interesting, while the process as described maybe inefficient and expensive, there may be a germ of an idea there which somebody has used to produce a commercial product. What Sam describes is a process using single LEDs and a laser pointer. Bearing in mind the continuing advances in both technologies, would it not be possible to create some kind of video display, using a carefully aimed/scanned higher power laser, shining onto LED chips ?
I have no real technical knowledge in this field, so any thoughts would be welcome.
And yes, Sams Laser FAQ is a most fascinating read, I'm not really a "laser guy" myself, but there is much in there that stimulates my imagination - thanks very much for posting it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
