Found these two lights on DORCY'S website. Finally found them at BRIGHTGUY and got them today. They arent listed on the website yet but if you call they have them in stock. Both are AAA. Both have the optics. The 2xAAA has a forward clicky but the 1xaaa has a reverse clickie. Im not sure if thats the way its supposed to be because they look the same and will interchange. Foucus is adjustable. Actually its a pretty good system. Dont think it reaches the 45 lumens it says but is still plenty bright. No hot spot at all. They are brighter than my INOVA RADIANT 2XAAA. The 1 x aaa Im not impressed with. About 30-40 min of runtime on alkaline and its dead. The 2xaaa so far has 1 hour and 45 min of runtime and has very little drop in brightness. From the looks of it you could easily remove the optic and put a reflector in. Might try that later this week. Lights are 18.00 ea. The 2x aaa needs a pocket clip. Really nice light for up close work. Very well made lights. All aluminum.

EDIT:I forgot to post the finish of the runtime test. I got two full hours with little drop in brightness. Then the next 30 min it dropped in brightness quickly. After the 2.5 hours one battery read .70 volts, the other read 1.2 volts.

This is the beamshot of the 2xAAA at about 12 inches.

Those don't look too bad, what kind of LED do they use? Osram gold dragon? How much did they cost?

Yes, additional information would be appreciated. I am very interested, in particular in the 2xAAA light.

I like the looks of those. I wish the 1xAAA had a better run time. I am shopping around for a 1xAAA light. Thanks for the information.

I'd like to know if these are available at any stores.

Not that I could find in virginia, I checked walmart, sears, target and a few harware stores. I would say youll eventually see them in stores but who knows when.

I had a OP reflector from PHOTON FANATIC (17MM) I cut it down to fit in the 2x aaa model. Fits perfectly. Makes it a little brighter and the focus funtion works better. It takes out the rings in the beam when you do a tight focus. Might have to try a smoothe reflector to see if I can get more light out of it.

Good find! It screams mod me

It sure does. The stock emitter looks like the Jupiter in the original River Rock lantern, and I was able to swap a USVOI Seoul into that quite easily. This one looks like a natural for a Cree, though, unless you swap in the reflector mhubble mentioned...

Edit: I take that back, that emitter is probably a lot smaller than the Jupiter, assuming that my hand is the same size as mhubble's...

The emitter in the Dorcy is EXTREMELY SMALL. Smallest one Ive ever seen. It might be possible to swap it out but its nothing I would try.

Note: I ordered a smooth reflector tonight from PHOTON, I should have it by sat. Now that its dark the op reflector has made this light alot brighter than I originally thought. It made a world of difference.

Got the smooth reflector today. It didnt work. It put the rings back in the beam. Im sticking with the OP reflector.

Could it be a Luxeon Rebel LED?

These lights look really interesting. Could you post a pic of the 2 cell one with something for a size comparison? Like a pencil?
