Hi All!

I have actually been lurking around here for YEARS but didn't have enough interest in flash lights to register... until now.

I'm a knife addict and soon to be flash light addict... well actually I guess I already am even though I haven't reached extreme levels yet but that won't take long.

About me: Im a 35 YO/M and I used to hate nature... the city was everything to me.
Nowadays, I find myself almost hating the city and take every opportunity I can to be in the nature with my family.

My finest flash light is a Malkoff MD4 body with MD2 head, Hi/Lo selector and the M60W MCE Drop-in.
I also have a Jetbeam Jet-III M and a Fenix PD30 and I guess I will have a lot more within short as I show clear signs of addiction and problems with self control (you will probably see me a lot in the Buy/Sell forums).

Anyways, Thanks for all the knowledge you have given during my lurker-years... I hope to be able to give something back now as a newly registered member!

Welcome to the forum. I joined this forum the other day and guess what, I am a total n00b to all of this. I came here because I am in the market for a pen/stylus light for my dad and also a decent EDC light for me with both of them having a budget of about $20 each. You may have some lights for me, LOL :).

and get yourself a Surefire. A HAIII one. At least ONE, so you can see, feel and smell the the way they are built. Just having one in your hands is already a pleasure. When I was new about a year ago, people told me to get my first Surefire.
Upon the question: "WHICH Surefire should be my first one?" there was one, that came along more often than others: the C2 Centurion.

This is a P60 host that takes two 16340s (CR123As) and can take nearly any D26 sized drop-in. The way the host is built, makes the difference: it has a grip-ring and the body is square, not round. It just lies perfectly in your hands...

I decided to take the C3 Centurion instead, which I, until now, never regretted. This one takes normally 3 CR123A batteries, but can be fed by TWO 17500s also. This nearly doubles the runtime.

If you are just a litte bit of an incan-fan, just leave that standard P90 in place when you buy a C3. Decided for a C2? Then you'll have to kick out that P60 lamp assembly, unless you want to spend much money on an endless amount of primary CR123A batteries. Replace it with any "9V" lamp assembly, or one of the many LED-drop-ins available.

The P60 platform offers one big advantage: it will never become outdated. Just drop in a new drop-in and it is modern again ;)

Now, that you have TWO expensive hobbies, take an extra job :grin2:
