will have my hands on this next week and they will be in stock then too at my shop.
I'm very curious to see the quality as the price is too good to believe.

cut and paste this for details:

pelican.com/lights_detail.php?recordID=2360

Looks like a K2 in there. Probably a TFFC version.

And for under $30? Nice. Pelican's not a company to skimp.

The flex neck version looks neat too.

"Using 2 standard AA alkaline batteries, the new 2360 LED emits 100 lumens for 2.5 hours."

I doubt it.

hopefully it can at least get this on lithiums, considering that the early Fenix L2D CE put out 110ish lumens OTF for over 2 hours.

Looks interesting, I agree. I highly doubt it too... with alkaline cells. I await a review.

this new light does have similiarities to their M6 series. i highly doubt the runtime. but i wonder if it accepts P60 drop-ins (can 2AA even power most drop-ins :duh2:). the clip adds versatility.

And I highly doubt the claim on the website.
"2360 LED Flashlight
THE BRIGHTEST 2AA POWERED LED FLASHLIGHT ON THE MARKET"
Specs say 100 lumens.

They should check out the 2XAA on Selfbuilt's review. ;)

There are 3 dropins that I know of that will run at 3V, one is the Solarforce model that comes in the L2-Mini, another is the mini P-60 CREE P4 dropin from DX, SKU 11810 (I say mini because its 23mm, not 26mm), and the Malkoff M30 series. This light, unless my eyes are not seeing the proportions correctly, doesnt look nearly wide enough to take P60s. The clip also appears to be one from the standard fare Nuwai/River Rock/Terralux/etc lights, which has me slightly worried.

IT is indeed American made. Pelican makes very quality lights. I'll be getting my grubs on one of these as soon as they're available to replace my streamlight scorpion LED..it has higher output and better runtime on...ALKALINE BATTERIES!? Wow..this is one of the only lights I've seen that displays estimated output and runtime on alkalines as they're usually 10,000 lumens for 100 hours on NiMH or LiIon but 15 lumens for 10 seconds on alks. Awesome!

its not the first timefor Pelican to over state a claim...:sigh:

they forgot Power+ puts out 175 lumen available locally (in Sg). :naughty:

well to be fair, a review will clear most doubts about it.

i hope Pelican kept the bulb end identical to the other M6. i cant tell from the pic, but it would be great if it were P60 compatable like other discontinued M1 (1xCR123 version of M6), M3 (3xCR123 version of M6).

your are right about the clip, it may not be that great but it should serve its purpose without being a toughy.

Luke, flex head? I'm not seeing that option...

The above must be older. It uses a different (probably LuxI) LED. I didn't see that when I made my earlier post.

However, Pelican uses the same picture of the head for both lights. That's what threw me off.

Do we really expect this to be "Made in USA" ?

For 30 Bucks ?

If it is, then i will be really surprised.

I'de like to believe but it is kind of difficult to believe. All I can think of is sub-par anodizing or if it were a polymer light which it is obviously not. China has a death grip on the balls of "more for your money" right now.

iirc, Pelican does not offer HAIII for most of the aluminium lights anyway. there are some exceptions, but few.:sigh:
