I've just seen an ad of this Power LED-Spot Module from a Austrian manufacturer.

It's designed for 24 volts with an integrated constant-current circuit and seems to be very bright with 53cd and 45lm. They use some kind of high power LEDs in COB technology which they claim is their own patented technology. It also seems they only sell it in quantities of minimum 20 pieces.

I don't know more about these modules/LEDs as you will find in their datasheet or on the website. But maybe it's of interest for some of you.

Hi, René,

I'm not sure I'd call either 53cd or 45lm "very bright."

True, it's 3/4 the light output of the SF E2e, but 53cd is half of an INOVA X5 with fresh batteries...so this must be VERY wide angle.

It will make some good ambient light...and even a reading light if mounted 30-60cm from the surface.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Richard

As far as I've seen it's designed for illuminating various objects and not realy for using them in a flashlight even though it has quite a narrow angle (and don't forget, it's 24 volts DC) Btw, I thought about twice as bright as an 1W LS would be bright but didn't really consider that some of us always think in 'anti aircraft spotlights' dimensions ...

He, you are almost the only one here in the CPF who can correctly write my name

. Do you write the é with the appropriate ASCII code or do you use another keybord setting?
