as the title says im new so be easy on me anyways i was looking to do something with my surefire G2 my bulb burned out and i dont wanna spend 20 bucks on a replacment assy and it eats batterys anyways so im thinkin a led bulb would be better i seen where they just take a 5mm led bulb and do it that way i dont think it will be that bright ? any cheap ideas that anit too hard ? also i tried searching but some reason it didint work

try searching thru replacement led module from lighthound. from some of the forumers here, the modules are quite good. also you dun have to worry about blown bulbs.

Take a look at 3W Luxeon Drop-In at Lighthound. This will be quite bright, it's very easy to install, and your batteries will last much longer.

Welcome! Even if you decide to go the LED route, if your G2 bulb quit before its expected lifetime, especially if it quit within the first couple hours, I would call Surefire and ask for a replacement bulb.

A Surefire lamp should last 20-30 hours. If it does not Surefire will replace it for you. Getting your money's worth indeed.
