I am not sure if this is the correct forum. If not, mods please move it, or if anyone suggests another spot I will delete and begin it there.
I have a few lights from Surefire that I would like to swap over to LED's.
First is a 6P, that I'd like to gain as much flood as possible with moderate consideration given to distance/throw. 200 lumens would be nice. I know there are direct drop in's available. I have been researching the cree type bulbs. Can anyone recommend a quality american part? Or are the imports just as good in this case. I have been looking at primarily the Q5 Cree LEDs.
If I am heading down the wrong road, could you help me find my way? :D
Also, I have a m900ab which is a 9v Surefire with a Turbo head. Does anyone make a LED replacement bulb that would increase the usable light on the Turbo head? I'd be willing to go ALL OUT on this one to gain as much distance as possible. I am not sure that there are comercial units out, but if someone on the board is into "frankenstien" type work. Perhaps someone would be courteous enough to introduce me?
Thanks again in advance- Again, I don't know what I don't know, and would appreciate any help.
