Newbie ? about Li ion Batteries

Hi all. I have a 3 cell mag light with a MR 16 mod. I have notice that these cells are run in pairs. How can I run Li's in this flashlight? Thanks in advance.

Give us some more details about the light in question so we can understand the situation more thoroughly and make a some accurate suggestions, at this time any suggestion would be based on assumptions and may be more confusing than helpful..

Here's a list to start with that will make things a little easier...

1. Is it a 3C or 3D?
2. Is it stock or has it been bored in some way?
3. What voltage and wattage MR-16 is being used for this application?

Also...Elaborate on this statement:

I don't understand what you mean by "these" cells in the statement above.. Li-ion can be used in pairs, triplets, or any configuration imaginable provided they are wired correctly and have the proper protection circuits and charging equipment in place.
