newbie BadBoy questions

I have two questions about Wayne's sandwiches:

1. I want to drive a 1W luxeon white (Q3J) at 350mA. I'd like to use two Lithium AA batteries. Can I use a BadBoy for this? Or should I use a MadMax?

2. Which parts do I need to buy from the Sandwich Shoppe to get a Badboy 350 that will fit in a MiniMag? I already have the luxeon. What do I need:
- emitter board and connectors?
- BK assembly?
- NX05 optic?
- rubber o-ring?
- blank Badboy board?
- 0.12 ohm resistor?
- what about a heatsink slug?

Do I automatically get a luxeon with the BK assembly? Can it be removed safely? Or is it epoxied with Arctic-Alumina?
Does the blank board have everything BUT the resistors?
Do I need to buy a rubber o-ring? What's it for?
Do I need a new lens for the mag, or does the NX05 fit behind the existing lens? What holds the NX05 in place?

Hello doubleE,
1) A Badboy will be fine. You cannot specify current using a MadMax, with your setup, I think the Madmax will be driving the led at a higher current but I am not sure.

2) -Emmitter board and connectors
-BadBoy with resistors soldered on
the closest to 350mA would be r1=0.68 and r2=0.18 ohms resulting in 351.31mA
A single 0.12 ohm will be 416.67mA, 0.15 ohm will be 333.33mA
-NX05 or Fraen LP optics or IMS 17mm (SO17XA) reflector
I personally like the NX05 optics to use in the minimag, others may disagree
-22.5mm mineral glass lens (optional, but much better than the stock plastic)
-sandwich retaining O ring (optional, this is to keep the sandwich from falling out when changing batteries)
-O ring to fit between the lens and the optics/reflector
-Arctic alumina adhesive to stick the emmitter base to emmitter board
-BK assembly
I think you can order the BK assembly without the led

BTW, soldering the led to the connectors on the sandwich can be a PITA if you are not used to soldering.
