I purchased a pelican clone xenon that takes 2 each cr123 batts., how/what is the simplest way to stick a luxeon led into this? thanks in advance.( I will upload images once I figure how to do it)

It really depends on the physical dimensions of your light. Also the 6V power source is too high and too low. Too high for a 1w (need current limiting device - resistor) and too low for 5w. Hmmmm. Probably easiest to go down the 1w path.
