You have no idea how glad i was to have found this forum, my wife and friends think i am mad to be so interested in flashlights, lumen levels, batteries etc etc.

First, a bit of background, i live in Singapore and there arent many flashaholics here, the stores that sell lights carry the usual range of Surefires etc and I know only one guy who is into flashlights in a big way. HIDs are near non existent here and looking for ways to mod mine, well, let's just say that the shipping costs alone make it prohibitive for me stretch my wings and wallet.

Anyway, i would love some pointers to mod my maglite, am using a stock reflector and lens with the standard 3W drop in module running on 3 x 1.5v 'D' cells, i use this light when i go fishing here and am thinking of ways to boost its output.

thanks in advance.

also, well, i owned a coupla cheap multi led throwaways, then saw the nite eyez drop in module for my 2AA maglite, got that, then moved on to the ultrafire C3 and now got me a jetbeam mkii (non IBS)

problem is that the protected 14500s dont seem to last all that long in the jetbeam, could some kind souls here point me to a nice light? am personally considering the Fenix TK10.

cheers from Singapore
