Hey guys, A friend of mine has a nice cnc machine shop and loves doing custom aluminum parts. We have been toying with the idea of making up a trick flashlight to sell amungst our friends etc. (like thats an original idea around this forum!). Anyway I have a good grip on the led lamps, etc. but cannot get my head around the circuits. From what I have gathered, to do it right, i would want a circuit that is 'current regulating'(is that like amperage in the AC world?)thermal protection so it shuts down when things warm up.I also want to have a dimmer (PWM?) or a few steps of brightness. Who might I contact to have someone make me up the circuit boards that also has sufficient knowledge of how these led's need to be driven.I want the circuit to be very complete with most of the bells and whistles.I've seen the micropuck etc. but cannot tell if it really offers all the features I want. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated ! I look forward to your posts or you can email me direct: [email protected]

EgliVincent,

First, welcome aboard!

If two levels are enough, the CR2II design in the MMM forum is intended to use boards from dat2zip's sandwich shoppe and the 2-level switch for the Firefly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
