As usual, you can't expect any press release from Cat Eye, they are simply putting their stuff on the shelves... So what's new ?? Almost nothing, after comparing specification it looks that we are getting upgraded versions of Double Shot PRO and Triple Shot PRO. Oh, but they are silver :nana:

CatEye R2

- 2 new Lumiledes LED's (Luxeon rebel I think)
- 7.4 V - 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery (waterproof ) / charge time - 3 hours
- 2 hours on high / 4 hours on low
- battery indicator on the switch full / 50% / 20%
- weight 322 g
- helmet / handlebar mount

2 hours from 2,3 Ah - about 1A for each led - that means 400+ lumens of light :D

CatEye R3

- 3 new Lumiledes LED's
- 7.4 V - 4600 mAh Li-Ion battery (waterproof ) / charge time – 5 hours
- 3 hours on high / 6 hours on low
- battery indicator on the switch full / 50% / 20%
- weight 497 g
- handlebar mount

3 hours from 4,6Ah battery - 0,75A for each led - that means 550+ lumens of light

Price ? In the old world R2 £259 and R3 £299.99, they should be available late august.
In the US, with the current exchange rates - hell knows.

Can't say I've kept and eye on Cat...er...eye, but that battery pack is defiantely an improvement over the crumby little bag I got with my Tripleshot. Still not a fan of that velco elastic; Nite Rider seems to remain battery pack king.

But a triple rebel would *not* be bad!
