NG with R123

I have a NG 750 sammie with TV1K lux III. Can I run a rechargable 123 with this sammie or do I need to get a Wiz2?

I plan on getting a Wiz2 eventually but I wanted to see what difference this battery would make now.

The NG should take the extra voltage and run like a champ.

Plus with it being a K helps alot too.
I have used the R123 with many of them as well as the regular BB with a J
YMMV though.
If you are using unprotected R123 cells then the Wiz2 is better as it has a cut off as to not run the battery all the way down to death.
