Nice flashlight under $40

-150+meters of throw
-under 6 inches
-at least 1hr runtime on turbo

The Nitecore MT21A is a good place to start your search from.

The Nitecore 21a is a great 2AA thrower. You might also look at the line of Convoy lights. I have 2 of those bit I'm not home now and can't remember which models. Very bright.

The Jetbeam BC20, with either 2 CR123 or RCR123 (it would seem that you can also use 17670 batteries too, but I didn't check).
High output of 305 lumens (XPG R5 version) or 320 lumens (XPG S2 version), and a throw of 136m (according to the documentation).

Nitecore MT2a or MT21a. Have both and would get them both again and recommend them. If you want more throw go with the 21a, if you want a better general puropose light go with the 2a. The 2a can tailstand and has a pocket clip if that matters. If you get both you can mix the parts how you'd like...

E25 is under $40.00 the TK 15 will be close to double that. The TK15 can be found for less at Amazon and EBay.

All the answers here are great answers, but I especially agree with you, dml24! I have always been a big fan of fenix but at the moment unfortunatly only own one :faint: That will change though!
