Just bought the new Nitecore headband for RM20(USD6-7) from my local lights shop(yes, theres a shop here who deals with flashlights :p :D )

was curious if it could fit on my bike, and guess what, IT DOES!
here are some pics,

will make a short video on how to do it if anybody's interested :D

I'm more interested in figuring out what fork you are running, actually... it's bugging me that I can't tell from the arch and crown. Looks like a nice setup, do you ride dirt or urban more?

The bike pulls more attention eh? haha

its an Sr. Suntour Durolux 140-180mm. i've got info from a pretty good informer that this fork came out of the same factory where KOWA forks are manufactured. heck, even the designs are similar!

theres a fork cam vid on youtube made by me(same nick) if you're interested. it costed me only rm1000, roughly usd350.

the bike is a do-it-all bike actually. DH, DJ, Freeride, Hucking, mild XC, Street riding, it can handle all. haha!

oh my, we're way off topic already. :D

Looks like you're using an eagletac flashlight? I use one for my bike as well and I love it.

Yea thats an ET P100A2. Use it as a headlamp last time when i went street riding at night and the beam was PERFECT! the xp-e emitter's characteristics really helped loads!

throws very far, yet the hotspot is large enough with a very smooth transition to the side spill. not bad i'd say. now need to get another to mount on the bike itself :p

Nice, the Suntour looks pretty burly!

I just built up a do-it-all hardtail this summer actually with a Z1 up front, so I can go anywhere from 4 to 6 inches of travel and the bike weighs in at an estimated 35 pounds... the first serious ride on it was a 7.5 hour epic. :D

Actually, as much fun as it is to ride, that was a really bad idea, haha. It's an awesome bike for pumptracks and playing around on though, and it'll do some XC too, just preferably not too long. Hardtails are great with how versatile they are!

I've actually mounted a Petzl ~60 lumens headlamp to the bars of my downhill bike before, I just wrapped the strap around the bars and stem and it stayed in place quite well. 60 lumens really wasn't enough for a downhill urban assault run though! Your Eagletac should be pretty nice for that though. I just ordered a P100A2 a couple of days ago, how do you like yours?

Yeap, it IS pretty burly! 35mm stanchions thru axle!

and i don't think i'll survive a 7.5hrs epic. my *** will be sore as hell even before the half way mark. thats a Deity freeride saddle up there, 8mm chromo rails, and a very plush cushion. :D

and yea, agreed that hardtails are probably themost versatile bikes ever! they're way cheaper than a full sus too. honestly i'd prefer a fork at ur travel range, but with a 20mm TA. 140-180 is really too much for a HT. I rarely use the 180 setting, which would make the bike feel like a chopper :(

you guys count in pounds, i'm using metric. haha! my bike is ard 15.23kg, ard 33.10 pounds.

and yea i'm lovin' the ET to bits. don't listen to whatever crap was on 47's site. IMO its more of a business issue that 47 is starting to sell lights now than a 'design and performance' issue. -.-"

the beam is flawless, smooth reflector with no rings! :D runtime is pretty good at 1hr30min with a set of Maha Imedions, and i've got 8 of them! more than enough for a night ride. unless i decide to get a 2nd light to mount on my bars. currently using the p100a2 strapped to the Mullet with 2 zip ties. worked flawlessly :p

warranty for the ET was also flawless, at least on my end. last time i threw my light during a quarrel in a fit of rage. my diffuser tip was on which absorbed some of the impact, but the force was strong enough that the head snapped at the threads area. the lens did not shatter, and the light was still functioning. called up the dealer and he got me a brand new head in 2 weeks time!

now THATS customer service :D

jamie: heres a full shot of the bike on a weighing scale in my LBS recently :D

from 4sevens site "The headband will fit any diameter of 24.5mm."

i take they mean up to 24.5mm....???

is that a 26" in the front and 29" in the rear? or just an optical illusion? nice bike! i like the horizontal dropouts! makes me wanna sell my xc.
