As far as I could tell, the most reasonable conclusion from that thread is that it was an April Fool's joke. However, a retailer did chime in and say that he knew of "cool stuff in the works", so who knows? :shrug:

I hope this is not a joke, looks like a fine light but wrongly priced.

Hopefully they make an Extreme module without the ring at a price close to the existing model. It would also have to not suffer the XP-G green tint. My two Dereelight modules have been terrible in this respect. My Quarks are much better as are the Thrunite modules.
