Hi guys.. I a new guy here trying to find my first high tec torch. I have been reading here on CPF for two weeks now. Its really hard to get a grasp on all this new flashlight technology. I have been looking for a really do everything light for my needs, which would be mostly night time hunting for coyotes and coons. I have been looking for a light that is really small with good beam that would shine out to 100 or 150 yards or so. I would like to be able to identify a coyote at 100 yards at least.
So I have come up with these two lights JetBeam RRT-0 R5, Nitecore Extreme XP-E R2. that I think might work for me. I would like your option of which one should I would go with. This light would also function as my EDC light also for dog walking, and scary monsters under the bed. Also when the power goes out.
I am leaning toward the JetBeam RRT-0 R5 because of the higher output and longer run times on High mode and daily mode. I would like to know if either one of these light will reach out to 100 or 150 to identify a coyote, because some people let there pets run around at night for whatever reason.
I am so green.. that I dont even know what the best RCR batteries are for these things.. This is a great place to be:twothumbs
