Ok so going off the review of this flash light, it says that you can use a Li-ion 3.7 Volt battery in it.

Do you guys think it will be fine if I put one of these in my flash light?

I am new to this whole thing, and I don't want to ruin my flash light.

IIRC as long as you are using protected 14500 Li-Ion cells then you should be fine.

I would strongly recommend that you only purchase an AW protected cells for this light. Most other rechargable cells are a bit too long to work well in the D10. The AW cells are perfectly safe with this light and you may even notice a bit more brightness with the rechargable cell than you do with a primary.

I've used an AW 14500 protected cell since the day I got my D10. Have had zero issues with it, but it is built to support it so no surprises there. That's why I bought it.

You really need to use protected cells as the protection circuit makes sure the battery doesn't get over discharged (run down below ~2.7V I think)... you risk damaging the battery if it goes lower.

I was under the assumption that I could buy disposable 3.7 volts li-ion is this true?

I was not aware of any disposable 3.7 V Li-Ion cells. Energizer makes primary (non-rechargeable) 1.5 V Lithium cells in AA format. Perhaps you are thinking of those?

Well when I bought my flashlight the sales guy told me to make sure I didn't buy the 3.7V Li-ion because he hadn't tested it yet.
