I'm interested in making a P60 drop-in with one of the bare Seoul P4 U-bin LEDs I have, but need something to mount it on for the proper height.

Are there 14mm or 15mm bases available for Seoul P4 LEDs like there are for the Cree LEDs?

You could probably make some off a piece of copper or an old Al heatsink. If you have an old Luxeon star laying around, you could pop the emitter off of it and use that.

Back in the day we used to file heatsinks by hand and then polish them off with sandpaper, son...

The Luxeon star would have to be ground down, as they are almost 20mm wide. The P60 pill can accomodate a base of 16mm maximum.
