Noob Minimag hotwire MR18 question

I am putting together a M/M hotwire. The MR18 reflector arrived yesterday and it looks like plastic. I hope it won't melt. Anyway - my problem is that the MR18 reflector does not have a hole for the bulb. Am I supposed to drill a hole or perhaps is it defective?

Getting this little flashlight modified is a bit more involved than I ever expected. Perhaps I'll go drop in with my next project...

Who did you order the reflector from? With any McR reflector there so be no doubt in appearance & feel that they are metal. And no hole? This sounds very strange. Never seen or heard of that before. Maybe you didn't receive a McR-18. :thinking:
