Hi,

I am sad to be selling this, but need the funds. I have a beta model EDC 120, with crenelated bezel and sterile body (has novatac url on tail bezel, but no flat on side for logo). This will come with an instruction booklet that says 'beta' on it. Also, this EDC's threads are very unique: they fit the 1x18650 and 2x123 tubes, unlike the production model EDC's.
(EDIT: I guess all the new Novatacs have threads to fit the extension tubes...thanks Jedinight!)

For this unique HDS, I would like: $375.

Thanks. Please pm or email if interested.

Yes, it is a preproduction model...I believe there were only about 10 or 12...

re: JediNight - thanks for the correction! haha! I guess it shows that I haven't been around on cpf much =) I just remember that the Novatac folks had said they would have a different thread pitch, and when my friend noticed that the Beta test model fit the 1x18650 I thought it was a pre-production easter egg.

Novatac will have their own 18650 bodies in the future

No battery tubes planed in the near future.

One question regarding 'beta-status': Shouldnt there be a large number of lights sold to the military some time ago? What did they receive, beta-version lights?

No idea! Sorry...

Any offers? Or, possibly, trades?

Just an FYI...the current production models will work
perfectly with the older 2x123 and 18650 bodies.

You are incorrect Sir. While the 2 x 123 body will physically fit if you put two 123 cells to this light you will get POOF. The voltage range of the circuit will not handle 6v. You have been warned. :)

Ah, interesting. When the 2x123 body was tested, they didn't have CR123's in them - indiglo, thanks, that is good info to know.

18650 is still pretty sweet though =)
If no one wants to buy this, anyone want to sell me an 18650 body? =P

Are you absolutely sure about this? If you are right, many thanks for warning me.

I tested my 18650 tube on my 120P yesterday and it worked fine - and I was about to test my 2x123 tube when I was distracted - a lucky escape! I had no idea 6v would blow the circuit. Can you confirm that 100%?

Have a look at the specs in the back of the 15 manual ou received with your 120p.

Biggest. Price drop. Ever.

I learned the hard way today not to mate a one-of-a-kind flashlight with a one-dollar-fifty-cent bike light mount. I pumped up the tires on my road bike with a new-found floor pump, and went so fast over the cobblestone street near my house, my beta 120 went flying, and bounced and skidded a bit on the cobblestone. Amazingly, no damage to the lens, and in fact looks dang near the same, save a 2mmx3.5mm scuff on side of tail, and a smaller scuff next to the bezel. Functions fine; I put it back in the mount and rode the rest of the way home =)

As such...I'd be willing to let this baby go for $135 =) Any takers? No photos yet and not sure when I can put up.

hi mcmc
i would like to purchase it. can i ask a couple of questions first please.

what color the tint is?

also is there a donut hole in the beam?

thankyou

Ok, I can't resist, I really want one of these w/o the lettering on the side. If there are only 2 scuffs on it like you said, I'll take it unconditionally if that will win it.

Good catch on a great deal scuffs and all!!

I have one also, and I would be hard pressed to sell it! Mine turned into a safe queen.

A rare piece of history!

Thanks!

I answered the_day's questions via pm, but 9volt's unconditional 'I'll take it' would appear to be the first real "I'll take it" - so, 9volt, it's yours - paypal info inbound!
