Now I need AAAAs

Just got the AAAA arc body now I need to find a source for batteries to feed the little monsters. It looks like the streamlight 6 pack is the best deal but I don't know anything about their batteries. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is going to be my new keychain light.

I've seen AAAAs at BestBuy. However, not all stores carry them.

Strangely enough they also were on a rack at Walgreens.

Who previously posted that what brand of 9 volt battery had 6 AAAAs inside? I did a search and came up with "Osco" brand, but I thought someone else also posted that Duracells were made that way? Any other brands that anyone is aware of that would render AAAAs upon disection?

Also, rat-shack carries 4a's, but they're $3.50/2

Many stores carry them, but look near the camera/hearing aid batteries and not near the AA's and AAA's.

Office Depot on the East Coast has AAAA cells, and yes, they're with the hearing aid button-cells. Happy Hunting.

Eveready 9V do have 6 AAAA's in them. However, they are several milimeters shorter, and the end with the nib on it is the negative, not the + end as you would expect. They work great in a Streamlight Stylus, with a piece of a ballpoint pen spring to make up the shorter cells. You may need to solder a nib on the positive end to contact the Arc-AAA head. But given the cost of a 9V battery, compared to buying AAAA cells, it's worth a shot. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Duracells are like the Eveready; + and - ends are reversed. I've got one sitting all "nekkid" on my desk at work.
