As you can tell, I'm very new to the world of personal illumination. Until a few weeks ago I didn't even know it existed. Other than seeing a passing reference to Surefire in gun mags over the years, I never paid this much attention.

Somehow I recently became aware of this stuff and found this forum. I picked up an E2e in jungle camo, and fell down that slippery slope. Now, 3 more E2e's (SG, Winelight, HA), one L4 and the latest Sharper Image toy, I'm a goner.

Sure, over the years I've had Maglites and divelights, but these little things are the coolest. And, in the short time I've been carrying one everyday, I have become amazed at how often I use it. ast night I had to go by work, and it was just pitch dark. The E2e lit the place up like nobody's business. Just outstanding. My wife even asked to use the light to read a menu one day. It's amazing how invaluable a light has become.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for all the great info, and hopefully I'll be able to participate intelligently in a discussion one of these days.

Welcome to CPF Gmount. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink2.gif We have a couple of slogans that you just as well might get up front:

"Hold on to your wallet" as you get sucked in, because you'll need to "Buy'em both" as you can't deside which one will satisfy your flashaholic craving. And if you are a heavy photon user, you will appreciate the efforts on this forum, to have "Guilt free lumens" running your flashlights on rechargeables. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

I probably forgot lots of other slogans so hopefully others will chime in.

Other than that CPF is a fantastic resource, packed with a LOT of very generous and helpful people. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif
