Off-the-shelf PWM driver available?

Hi there,

this is my first post on CPF but I'm reading your posts for quite a long time now.
Following problem:
Our company wants to have a better light for our microscope and I'm planning to build a custom light with three CREE XR-E Q5's. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to spend too much time on the system so I have to find a suitable off-the-shelf driver for the system.

Requirements:
- preferably input voltage: 230V AC
- output voltage: enough to drive at least 3 CREE's connected in serial
- intensity adjustable via potentiometer (PWM)
- off-the-shelf device; --> no work at all, just "plug and play"
- output current: at least 700mA

I'm going to order the LED's and optics at LED-TECH and I've also found some driver there. But assembling the driver, PWM-control, power supply etc. into an enclosure would take too much time as it should look somewhat professional.

Is there any off-the-shelf driver available wich fits?

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks,
Max

Theres probably a 230v Xitanium.
I'm not sure by what you plug and play.

If you mean solder and play, sure.
But what are you going to plug it into??

Your LED is not gonna arrive like a light bulb and just screw or plug into a socket, you will have to solder wires to it so no installation is going to be plug and play.
But shouldn't be difficult at all either.

I'm not worried about the LED. I know I'll have some work with it but that shouldn't be a problem as I'm an electronics engineer. I was just told not to spend too much time with the driver.
I planned on buying the parts individually, like enclosure, power supply, pwm dimmer and driver but now I'm looking for a device which can be bought off-the-shelf. Meaning: connect the device to 230VAC and the LED's...that's it.

Any ideas?
