Hi,

So, Fenix ignored me and my reasonable request for a one-stage 135-lumen 10440 light!!! ;)

Anybody have any idea where else I can get a similarly specced single 10440 high power "keychain" light for my wife?

Ta,

Any AAA sized light that is putting out 135 lumens on a 10440 will get extremely hot, and will also drain the cell very quickly, to the point of overdischarging it if you aren't careful.

This should fit the bill:Huntlight FT04XJA3 SSC

Don't know about the SSC version, but the original lux model was regulated on 10440. Should be the brightest single-stage AAA out there.

FYI, here's a review:

The new model isn't regulated on a 10440 like the old one was, but Huntlight may produce a Seoul P4 light with the original circuit intended for Li-Ion use. It should be 55-60 lumens, but I'll know for sure if my P4 upgrade of my old model light is successful.

I believe at such a high current drain, the light will show very obvious signs of dimming before the batt even reaches near 'overdischarged'. Its the super-low modes that will suck your unprot batts beyond repair.

hi face,

try a LiteFlux LF2. It has

1) battery voltage indicator built-in &

2) Li-Ion / NIMH overdischarge protection built-in which you can decide to enable or disable.
