One of my Safelight Superbrights (now called Handyman ?) has gone faulty, in that it will switch on, but comes on at full power, then will not go through the sequence, nor switch off when switch held down, sometimes switches off after 7+ depresses.
I don't think it's the switch, as from glow off, it will always switch on (full).
I wonder if there is a software reset, or just leave out the battery for ages?
It has been so dependable too, used every night for the past two years.
I have tried different 9v alkalines, same result.
However, the problem only showed just after I changed a low battery for a new one, perhaps initially inserting new battery wrong way round may have done something to software ?
But never had this before.
Anyone else have this problem, found a cure ?
OK, having left the battery out now for quite a while, the torch has reset, and it now works normally.
I'll leave this thread open incase anyone else experiences similar problem in the future.
As always, James from Safelight responded very quickly, and confirmed removing battery for a minute is the correct procedure.
