Just stumbled upon this forum a few days ago. I just received my Powerex 2700 batteries and MH-C9000 #0G0D01 from Thomas Distributing today 10/9/07. After reading some of your posts I am wondering if it's buggy as some say?. I did a lot of research on batteries and charger and decided to get the 2700's and this charger. So do I need to worry or should I return it?

Thanks

Stan,

"Thank you for contacting Maha. The only revision made was from 0F to 0G.
After that, they are all identical units.

Best Regards,

Alex"

Hello Stash,

Welcome to CPF.

I don't find the improved C-9000 "buggy" at all...

What problems are you running into?

Stash,
I have several of these units(OG). They all work fantastic!! This is the best charger on the market IMO. You will love it. It does most everything you would expect out of a charger! Enjoy! The charger is a keeper!

When reading this forum, take note of the dates of the posts. The only known glitch on the current C9000's is a display issue that doesn't affect the charging and only happens under certain conditions. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Initially I didn't think my new C9000 had the glitch but after a few days I did stumble across it and it happens in a mode I normally wouldn't find myself using. It also happens on a relatively non-critical measurement for me (1st cycle of several, 1st battery slot).

Yes, maybe it was the earlier models that I read about?--

anyway I will hopefully enjoy it as much as you people do.

thanks!!

While I would have one or two ideas to slightly improve the UI, this charger is the best I've ever owned. I see no reason not to keep it, unless you have a very specific reason?

As far as I know, there has only been one "improvement" to the C-9000 chargers. There are a variety of different numbers on different units, but I have it on "good authority" that those numbers only relate to lot numbers and have nothing to do with the firmware.

I believe this has also been backed up by the fact that no one has reported any changes in performance since the initial "improvement."

So, if you have an 0F unit, there is a very good chance it is one of the original units, however if you have anything different, it is an improved unit. The only difference in the improved units is which lot they came from.
