I've narrowed my choice to:

o Olight M20 Warrior Premium
o EagleTac T10C2
o JetBeam JET-III Pro St

Right now I'm favoring the M20 because it has a very low light setting. There are a lot of times you just want a little light for doing something up close (like finding your shoes in a tent in the middle of the night). I also like that it has strobe. But the T10C2 is brighter but only has two settings. Is the M20 the best that has a really good low AND a really bright high? The only other high end led light I've seen is a Fenix PD 30 (220 lumans). I'm curious how it would compare to that. I liked the bright WHITE light of the PD 30. But the M20 Premium has a yellower light right? Would the warmer M20 have the same punch that the P 30 has? I mostly will use it outdoors on night hikes and around home outside. Would the M20 tint be better for that? Thanks for your input!

I was debating this myself and decided to go with the Eagle-Tac P10C2 because it is lighter and has more power. Man, is this thing white and bright and throws like a mofo!!! I wanted a 'torch' and will probably go back and get a JetBeam or Olight later.

I purchased and received the M20 Premium a few weeks ago. Very happy with the light. Generally leave it on the medium setting around the house, but switch to high when I take the dog out at night. I did get the polished reflector to improve the throw and I think it's a great light. The clor is good too. Not as blue as some.

I don't have a Jetbeam...yet!

Seems to be the most versatile of the trio wih a programmable low, which I consider as a big advantage, I just got my Liteflux LF3XT to start programming. But, I won't tell you of a light I don't know here, just my idea (why to get one...).

M20 versus T10C2 is multi-mode with "complicated" UI versus pure power. I like them both, but for my hobby, geocaching, the UI of the M20 revealed too stressing. I had to change the output often, I need both hands for this, thanks to the memory I have to pass strobe and SOS each time. Nope! I put in the SMO reflector and reserve it for situations, where I'll need real throw and/or power. It's a great and versatile light for sure.

I only tested my T10C2 at home until now, but it was already impressive. I compare it to my TK10, which feels a little bit tougher, but the UI is quite the same. The big advantage of the T10C2 and the reason it'll probably take the place of my TK10 in the backpack soon : The bright spill! The hotspot is about the same as the TK10, but the spill is brighter. I suppose this will be a real advantage on low, so that I can reserve the high for the situations I really need it.

The M20 has better runtimes on high, the T10C2 is overdriven, but the beam is impressive... :D

I made my choice a few weeks ago: the Jet-III M. I like the looks of the JetBeam much better than the others, and the warm tint is a real plus. The two-mode custom switching was exactly what I wanted. The build quality truly is exceptional.

From all the threads on these lights, you can't go wrong with any of them. But if you get the JetBeam or Olight, get some spare Olight battery tubes from BatteryJunction.

Jetbeam Jet-III-M (Military) with "Neutral" emitter is the only light in this category that's going to give you excellent color rendition outdoors.

The M20 does not have a warm emitter. It's just to the green/yellow side of cool. The neutral emitter of the Jetbeam significantly reduces the blue light and raises red, helping you distinguish objects outdoors and reducing spillback.

The extremely low low of the the Jetbeam is great. And if you bump it up a notch, it's comfortable to use around the house or even for reading without all the discomfort a cool LED causes over time.

Much of the attention to the Jet-III M has been paid to the light's outdoor throw, but indoors, the amount of light, tint, and the spill are all so good that it functions as a flood as well as does my Surefire U2. Better, actually...

Yours has a green tint? My M20 has a very pleasing neutral tint. My M20 is VERY noticeably whiter than my Jet-IIIM (warm tint), but definitely not blue or purple or green. Both my Jet-IIIM and my M20 are great lights, very well made with plenty of output on high, I can grab either and the choice is either a neutral white M20 or a warm white Jet-IIIM. The Jet-IIIM is set to have an ultra low output around 2 Lumen and the M20 has the nice normal low and good bright useful medium, both have a very strong high output. I really wouldn't say a bad word about either light and think that most users would be happy to own and use whichever one they bought.

The M20 has a pretty nice ui - forward clickie to activate, head loosen/tighten to change mode, remembers whatever mode you used last. If you handed the light to someone they could click the tail switch and have light, couldn't be easier.

The color tints are grouped into three categories:
  • Cool
  • Neutral
  • Warm
These are defined by the emitter manufacturer.***

Basically, all LED lights on the market up until a few months ago have been "cool" tint bins, including the M20. We at CPF have become accustomed to describe these cool white LED's relative to each other as cool (bluish), neutral (not so bluish) or warm (yellow or greenish). Still, regardless what we have been calling them, they are all cool.

The Jetbeam and some others are technically "neutral" tint. There really aren't any "warm" tint flashlights on the market at this time.

My particular o-light warrior had an off-center emitter that was very green and dim. Sometimes this can happen from poor processing or overheating, from what I understand. The retailer took it back, agreeing there was a problem with my particular light.

Is yours a premium R2? I understand these are WH tint, which will naturally be a little yellow-green when compared against another tint bin more centered on the cool white scale. Keep you eyes open, maybe O-light will offer different tint bins. They have been very responsive to market desires from what I've seen.
