Olight M21 vs Tiablo A8?

I'm going to be going on a "ride along" sometime in the future with our police (I work for the police in IT but they sometimes allow this). I'd like to take a single 18650 light with 2x CR123 option like my Fenix Tk100 or Tiable A8, but I'm sure by now there are lights that would blow them away?

I know the Olight M21 is not a "thrower" but surely with it's greater output it would put more light on something 150 metres away than my old A8??

Or is there a better option? I believe the new Tiable ACE can run on a single 18650? Is this at full output? Runtime doesn't matter as I can carry a spare battery or two and would rather carry a spare battery in a pocket than use an extender on the light itself.

I just want to be sure I can blow away their maglights as much as possible, with something pocketable :D

You can blow away a maglite with a 4sevens mini 123 with XPG R5 led :cool:


If you want o use only one 18650 cell then there are not many options out there, you may try barrel 2x18650 flashlight which is not as long as 2x inline, like the M2XC4 one of the brightest led flashlight in the market

I have 2 minis on order :D though again to 150 metres I suspect the mag will win.

I'll have a look at the M2XC4. If it's what I'm thinking of though, it's expensive.

Though still, does anyone know if the ACE has the same output with 1 x 18650 as with 2, but with shorter run time (45 mins IIRC).
