This is probably a stupid question to those in the know, but will the M21 basically be the mass production version of the special edition Ti M20?

Well its probably going to be mass produced, but its heatsink seems to have been completely redesigned.
So you can see it from a few perspectives. I'd consider it as a redesigned M20 with a SST-50 LED, but that's just me.

The diameter of the bezel and the length of the M21 (according to specification) is the same the M20 Ti, so I can't see but how much they can change things by.
To increased the throw of a light you need a larger diameter reflector and/or a deeper reflector, both of which is probably not going to happen given the current specs.
What kind of beam will this light have?

Ohhhh man, I can not wait for this light. My M20 blows me away for it's size, I can't wait to get my hands on the 500 lumen M21! This forum has put a ding in my bank account, lol. I found this forum about a month ago, since then I have purchased a Surefire 6P LED and a Olight M20 premium R2. Now I have a decision to make...Olight M30 or Jetbeam M1x???? Oh boy, MUST STOP READING THREADS DURING THE WEE HRS!

Hi All,

I am new on the forum here, this is my first post :) I love torches very much and the new M21 is on my to-get list already. I own the titanium version as well and eager to see this light with a slightly bigger reflector. I have pre-ordered it already on an Austrian website but I think I can't put a direct link here, is that right?
This light seems to be as a mass-production model, I haven't seen any limited sign in the description.

Kind regards,

If you don't want to wait that long, nailbender makes a 3 mode sst 50 and 90 drop in that's ready to go. I have both and they are very nice.

look's a promising upgrade over the m20 and m20ti, 'wondering if there will be some extension in order to fit 2x18500 thus improving burn time and regulation at full power.

Is it just me or nobody seems too excited with this one

That makes two of us mate

Yeah, I really would like some more info but I do also understand that OLIGHT may not be supplying much more info than we already have. I would just like to know if it is going to throw further than the M20 R2. I've read the head is bigger but it seems like nothing is really confirmed. :sigh:

Maybe Matt from Battery Junction could chime in and give us a clue here. :poke:

I'd like to see another power setting between the 80 lumen setting and the 500 lumen setting, something like 250 lumen, which would hopefully run for 2.5 hours.

I'll second that! I'm looking forward to this new light, I'm thinking (prematurely) that it will replace most of my 2x123 sized lights. I love the Olight M20 interface as well, hopefully they will stick with that and not do something crazy.

Yeah, now that I'm thinking about this, its kind of bugging me. Maybe 50, 200 and 500 would be better. Get the middle setting up where it will handle most jobs. I think that 80 will be lacking for general flashlight duties. If anyone has an "IN" with Olight (MATT!!) see if there is time to get the middle output up to at least 180.
