Osram leds?

This may be a dumb newbie question, so be it.

Seems that there is little modding/flashlight development with Osram leds. Can someone tell me why? They are priced attractively at LED Supply, but I cant read the spec sheet.

No, it's the Golden Dragon white LW W5SG which is 500ma.

Well the vf is quite high which means that they are less efficient than current Crees and Seouls because they typically use more power and have less lm/w.
 
Yeah, after finding the specs, I kind of answered my own question. The lumens per watt is nowhere near that of the Seoul or Cree Emitters.
My only problem with Crees is that in most cases they require a different reflector/optic than the Luxeons I am replacing.

Which is why Seouls are also a good choice.
