I'm thinking of picking up several Pal Lights to give away as gifts, with maybe an extra to hang on to for myself.
Three models are easily available: Humvee, Safe-Light, and Survival. They're priced within a few bucks of each other, so cost isn't really a factor.
I like the looks of the Safe-Light the best. It looks like it would be comfortable in the hand and easy to switch.
The Humvee, though I find it rather ugly, is rated completely waterproof. But, it looks like the clear plastic top would squirt light out in all directions, which might be good for area lighting, but not so good when used as a flashlight.
The Survival is sort of in between, more water-resistant than the Safe-Light, but not completely waterproof. Think I remember reading that it has a narrow, lens-focused beam.
I would be grateful for comments on any or all of these lights from anyone with knowledge of them.
