I've tried it but like the factory setup for the survivor, the beam on the selector is alot bigger spot as is. The guy I got the selector from called it by another name, didn't they rename it the selector recently?
BTW I'm not that impressed with the 7 step up function. The increments that it increases in brightness seem noticeable only up to step 4 or 5. After that the brightness is not noticeable to me at all. Also seems that it depends on what I use to reference the increments as to how noticeable they are. If I hold the light close to a surface and run through the increments I can count them as they step up, but even then the # 5-6-and-7 are just tiny tiny jumps in brightness. when shining it across a room it seems that the step ups stop after 4.I usually use this light in my room navigating in the dark when its really late. Usually just use the first step. I like it for its one press to turn off as opposed to the survivor's press twice to avoid strobing, which I have forgotten at times [sometimes startling me until I got used to it].
If anything I've learned here in this forum, its another reason to get the workman (one of each!). I finally broke down and got an Arc AAA due to peer pressure here but the one axiom I have truly abided by from the CPF is "Get One of Each".
