I am looking at maybe upgrading my PP account to a premier account so as to be able to accept CC payments.

What do I need to know as far as the charges CONUS and international?
Do all of the fees for me to pay come out of my receive payments?
Is there any hidden fees?
Is it worth it?
(edit should I use a different e-mail and set up a seperate account for the CC payments?)

Thanks in advance.

Hello Mut,

The charges come out of the money that is sent to you.

They charge 2.9% for the transaction + 1% cross country money transfer fee + $0.30 per transaction.

If someone in Canada sends you $10, you receive $9.31.

If someone in the US sends you $10 via credit card, you receive $9.41.

If someone in the US sends you $10 via a PayPal bank checking account, you receive $9.70.

If you have your PayPal account tied to a bank checking account, you can still send money and not be charged the credit card fees.

Thanks Tom.
Next question....is it better to open a new account for just CC paypals? Or just go ahead and upgrade existing one.

Thanks again.

i think the best way is to open a new account dedicated for CC based payment, in and out. That way, you don't need to eat all the pp fee when you accept bank funded payment

Thanks guys this helps alot. You can only get so much out of the pp site.
shiftd I thought that was the best way, but was not sure.

Thanks again.
