Wayne,

Hmmm... that's a good idea. How about Adobe PDF format for Palm? It wouldn't be any problem for me to whip up something. I assume you are most interested in smaller diameters...? UNF, UNC, Unified metric... What other sorts of stuff would you find useful on the Palm? I EDC a Palm T, so no OS 5 stuff for me - OS 4.1

Kind of a late reply to your post, but I just ordered some goodies for my lathe and mill from LMC and am wandering the threads in here while I impatiently wait for my order to arrive...

Try a search for these nifty programs:

UnitsIQ for the Palm Computing Platform, Version 1.0

"pocketEE" - general formulas / conversions

"resist" - resistor color codes

"pdraft" - schematic drawing tool

"Electronics V2.5" - referance for just about anything

I can e-mail a copy as required.

Cheers, Dave.

Wow, I started this a long time ago and I'm glad there are some responses.

I've got most of the utilities I need on my palm. It's slowely getting there.

The flashlight thread database would be neat.

I have not looked, but, I probably should pay attention to the speed on the lathe for proper cutting depending on whether I'm using HSS tools or carbide. I think there is a speed chart vs diameter of stock for turning and boring.

I'm a pdaholic /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

owned in this sequence:
pilot 1000, pilot pro, palm IIIxe, palm Vx, Clie SJ20, Clie SJ22, Palm Tungsten/E and current: Clie TJ37 (15 days old)

Will collect, will transform from excel/access to pda if anyone needs it

Hey now! Sorry to be late to the party, but I've been a Palm user since 1998. For the past several years I've been carrying a Handspring Visor Deluxe (and now a Visor Neo), so all these resources you guys mentioned are GREAT! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Many thanks for the tips, folks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

You could try "handbase" as it alows you to make your own databases with custom interfaces.

I think that it will work with either PC or Palm.

Here's a drill/tap & metric/english reference that I made.
For anyone that need them here's the --> Drill Chart

I hope you guys can put it to good use ... in a flashlight :O
