Peak Logan momentary switch

I recently received a Peak momentary switch from Oveready to replace my keychain + split ring on my Logan 17500. When I screw it in the back, it keeps the light constantly on unless I unscrew the head to the point when it is just about to fall out of the front threads (1/16th of an inch turn -- it wobbles it is so insecure). The problem is confined to when I have a 17500 battery in the light; when I have an Eneloop or alkaline primary, it's okay because they are slightly shorter lengthwise. Unfortunately, I use this light with 17500s 95% of the time.

Is there this much individual variation in the length that I need to send it back for a shorter one? Or can I file down the tip of the switch plunger some until it doesn't make contact with the battery so early?

Okay, nevermind. I solved it myself. The clip screw extension was installed and once I removed it all is well. Back to your regularly scheduled program.

Sorry for the confusion, this is a brand new item. We'll add notes and photos to make uses and limitations more clear.

Notes and photos would be helpful to be sure, but once my brain settled down from the initial shock, the solution was pretty clear. And now once I buy a clip, I'll know exactly what to do to re-install the switch with the extension. :D
