Peeling R123s?

Hello all,

The wrapper on my 4.2 volt R123 is peeling. Is there any danger of the thing shorting out when used in an unanodized battery tube? Should I tape the tear just in case?

I'd keep it covered, hooby stores often have really thin shrink wrap that could be used to re-cover it.
