Pelican 7060 battery issue

Hi guys. I've had this light a lil over 2 years. the first battery crapped out at 9 months so I ordered another from the Pelican dealer here in Costa Rica.
3 months later and the charge lasts for only 20 minutes or so.
The customer " service" person, after being on hold for some time says. " The battery only lasts a about year"" Maybe it was on the shelf a while".
Is she a bimbo or is this a fact ?
If this is the case that light, like most battery powered drills, is an utter ripoff.

The battery shouldnt just "last about a year". Most batteries are going to have some inherant degradation tht occur over time, it is usually worse in rechargables however it shoulds to me like the unit is defective.

I have has my Pelican 7060 well over 2 years now and still use the original battery pack which is holding between 70-80 minutes of charges,
