Mike: The L1-BK has the new scalloped head.

nekomane: The case came with 'pick-n-pluck' foam (Semi-pre-cut into squares). Basically lay everything out. Then I cut the foam using a playing card or business card. Once the piece is out, I used a knife to cut the piece to the right height and put it back in. It's really easy to use, but take your time.

Just 'pluck the foam' to your desired size. I'm using the Pelican 1200 too. I kept my spare bulbs below the lights.
