Been using this for years. What is an alternative, better quality but similar 'style' light?

thanks

You'll probably have to be more specific since the possibilities are endless.

Do you still want a 4 x D cell format?

Are you looking for another Incan?

How much output would you need or like?

Have you considered HID?

What run-time will you require?

Give us a maximum price range please......

You might want to consider the Cyclops Thor X Sirius 9 watt rechargeable LED spotlight, which can usually be found for $40-$80. It will be smaller than the Pelican Laser Pro, and puts out around 400-500 lumens which is around 3 times the brightness of the Pelican. It has a runtime of around 2 hours and excellent regulation, and it uses LED emitters that will not burn out like an incandescent bulb and are impervious to damage that Incan and HID bulbs are not.

The Cyclops is an incredible thrower, and will easily give you around 300 yards of throw in a dark environment. Unless you are looking for a waterproof light, I highly recommend skipping the Incans and getting the Cyclops. If you are considering an HID, I recommend you at least give the Cyclops Sirius a try first because you will probably be very impressed by its power and find that it is even more powerful than what you need.

It will of course be very helpful to know what you need this next light for, your price range, and what kind of abuse it needs to be able to endure.
