On a trip to Frys yesterday with the specific intent to get another of those 10 Candela Green LEDs, I picked up this Pelican 2AA.

I find it not as APPARENTLY bright as any of my other 2AA stuff. But what it does do well is a nice smooth semi wide angle beam. It has a textured bezel which is the main reason I chose this model.

The goof I made was I picked up two PR12 bulbs 6v .50A (Yes PR 12 - not KPR112) It was when I discovered 3 123As in my 2C M*g that I realized what I had done. No biggy, as there is a 112 in that light right now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can email a beamshot pic to someone if they can post it.

I will get one of this and something else for reference shining against a wall. My camera is a several year old Sony FD90, but I just took a quicky pic, and it looks pretty good.

Hmm, it was tough finding something to compare it to. I came up with a shot of it and my Madmax shing at the same wall about 16 inches apart from precisely 4 feet away.

It pretty much overwhelmed an ARC AAA, Infinity Ultra and PT Attitude...

The Madmax is shing into the Corona of the Green, making an interesting picture!

As it happens this pic stuff I'm talking about pertains to my 3N Green LED mod.

Shouldn't need pics of the Pelican.

I'm pretty sure posting pics is over my and/or my computers heads. Somebody PM me and we'll discuss it.

No Artar, that 'mod' is in a Silver 2C M*g.

The one I'm speaking of is 3 N Cells into a 2AA light with a green LED.

I'm considering 4 123A's in a 2D light of some sort....

Don\'t know how long it will last.. but it\'s BRIGHT

I expect it to flash every time I turn it on.

It is a M*g 2D with 4 CR123As and a M*g 6cell (7.2v I presume) Krypton Bulb (not Magnum Star).

It also has Writeright. It puts 3 123s driving a 4.8v bulb to shame. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

I will try to get a beamshot and mail it to Bart.
